The barrier properties of flexible packaging films are vitally important to ensure exceptional product quality and maximise shelf life. All our BOPP films demonstrate excellent moisture barrier, though our range includes extra high barrier clear and metallised films. We are also a market leader in lamination films made especially for the snack market.
In addition to shelf life, pack presentation and pack economics are critical properties for a brand to consider. Propafilm™ MPM 17 is a thin, high barrier, metallised heat seal film that offers a high yield and is ideal for salted potato and corn snacks.
For pack designs that require a thicker film, white Propafilm™ QLD incorporates multilayer technology that gives a 50% yield advantage over the equivalent clear or solid white heat seal films.
Both can be laminated to a high yield clear, heat sealable print web, Propafilm™ GPD 17.
For high oil content snacks such as nuts, the Propafilm™ Strata range of films provide exceptional barrier to aroma and oxygen even at high relative humidity levels ensuring increased shelf life and reduced food waste. The high barrier Strata films are also a tool for engineers to use in creating 100% propylene packages to move away from multi-resin laminations and towards ‘Recycle-Ready’ structures. Many Propafilm™ grades have already received the Interseroh Made for Recycling certification with more to follow.
Propafilm™ MPM is the high barrier metallised film for extra shelf life and higher barrier versions are in development.
Propafilm™ Strata SL maintains oxygen barrier, even in humid conditions.
Maintain the freshness of your snacks with our wide range of white high barrier films which includes grades that can be digitally printed, high speed processing and even mineral oil barrier.
Our Propafilm™ Strata range of multi-layer high barrier extrusion films is the perfect option to replace laminate structures. Suitable for use in all pack formats and packaging machines.
